Anyone who has a sound knowledge of English, good listening skills, and typing. However, individual with Medical/Legal/Business transcription background would be an added advantage. |

I am already working in transcription field. Why should I think of taking up Voice Mail Transcription? |

As this is a new beginning and Focus/Nuance will be one of the pioneers in this and above all, you would be a part of a start-up team, which means tremendous growth prospects and new openings such as QA, TM, HT TM, etc. |

I already have a fair knowledge of such work. Can I be considered for senior position? |

You will have to take up a test. If found suitable, you will be considered for senior position. |

Is there any training provided? |

Once recruited, there will be a 4-weeks training including OJT (on-the-job Training) on the specified software.

Will I be paid salary or stipend during the OJT period? |

Salary will be paid for all trainees. However, if you join directly as VMT or VMP then, you may not require to undergo OJT and will directly start in production. |

What would be shift timings? |

As TAT on these messages/mails are very less, we will be working round-the clock (24/7). However, as we will be basically covering the US market, we will have to have 90% of our staff strength in Night Shift. |

What is the role of speech technology in Voice Mail Transcription? |

Speech technology or voice recognition technology means training computers to recognize the speech output and to have the computer automatically generate the transcript. VMT also uses this technology and you will be more or less editing/proofing this output after a fair amount of time. |

What is the average accuracy output of speech recognition technology? |
| A. |
There will be little-to-no recognition on day #1. However as time passes, the computer starts recognizing the speech pattern and will start producing output ranging from 50-98% accuracy. |

We are 100% confident about this technology. |

I am already working as a home-based worker for your company. Am I eligible to start working as an in-house employee as VMT? |

Yes, you can immediately start working as our in-house employee. However, you will need to talk to our HR department to know what designation you would be offered to begin with. |

When are we starting VMT in other cities/locations? |

We
started this project in our Basavanagudi,
Bangalore office and have moved into Alwarpet,
Chennai office. Chennai and Coimbatore.
Tentatively, we may start VMT in Hyderabad
by Apr-10. |

Where can we undergo training for VMT? |

For
now, you can opt for training in Basavanagudi
or Rajajinagar in Bangalore, Coimbatore
and Chennai. |

Are we outsourcing VMT to subcontractors? |

For now, we are planning to launch this project from in-house. Once we are confident about the execution and workflow, we will definitely plan for outsourcing VMT work. This might probably take another 3-4 months. |
